Family Update – India, Really?
I am going to give a brief rundown of things that have been going on with my family so that there is a written record when things do come to pass.
A few months ago I felt like I heard to God tell me to acquire an item that seemed very odd to me. When praying into it all I got was that this was a test of our (my family) faithfulness. Moving forward with that idea I made plans to acquire said item by selling some things I had, and planned to use some family cash, which we could not afford. When all was said and done, we acquired a different model of the same item with no money out of our pocket. That’s one thing.
Secondly I feel like God is pressing me to get passports for everyone in our family. No idea why or where, but that we need to be ready.
Weeks later my wife hears a word that we will be mobilized.
We are working on obtaining out passports now.
All through this time I have human trafficking has become very heavy on my heart. It seems like I am unable to avoid information on this.
Mingled in with all of this, since knowing Jesus I have had an itch in the back of my mind about India. Today, just a few minutes ago that jumped back to the forefront… Why?
If anyone, Anyone who reads here has a word on this, even if you don’t feel that you can trust that word, please share.
For now I am going to pray for my Brothers and Sisters in India. God please peel the scales from our eyes, soften our hearts, yet prepare the way for your servants to reach out to those who are entrapped in slavery. For those who are not free to choose their comings and goings, who are not free to openly follow the one true God. By the blood of Jesus Christ, if this is my mantel I accept it fully.
Randomness on the Nightwatchman
The Nightwatch stands guard on the wall… Why?
To guard that which stands behind the wall.
Is the Mothers Womb the wall?
And the mother the watchman?
How does the watchman allow the wall to be breached?
Die trying to defend the wall.
Turn his/her back and allow the enemy to pass.
Revelations 8:10 and 11 – Bitterness
10The third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water— 11the name of the star is Wormwood A third of the waters turned bitter, and many people died from the waters that had become bitter
This verse stands out to me every time I read it. The strongest word for me is Wormwood. Funny, in a strange way, that that name means Bitterness. Over the last year I have seen so may folks fall away from a true walk with Christ into something else that it brings tears to my eyes, and in most every case it is due to the fact that they have allowed Bitterness to take hold in their heart.
There is another truth in this verse that I have not seen before. “…And many people died from the waters that had become bitter”. The living word of Christ often flows through his followers via dreams, revelations, prayer, deeper understanding of the word, etc. If we call The Word of Christ the Living Water, wouldn’t it stand to reason that if we take the word and filter it through a false doctrine of some type would become something different, bitter and hurtful? Turning it from living water to bitter water, causing people to die spiritually.
I believe that in the end times we will see real physical bitter water due to wormwood, but that there is also the spiritual aspect I describe above due to bitterness allowed to take root in our heart.
Into the New Year with Repentance
God’s word is coming forth in so many places saying this is going to be a year of momentum, a year of moving forward, a year of mobilization.
People this is going to be a year that will be written into the history books, and never leave the memories of generations to come.
As I read the word, and study the messages of those around me, I am constantly hearing a theme for the beginning of the year.
In the book of Revelations in the letters, Gods word through John is telling the Churches to repent. The Churches, the ones who are to seek higher ground are still in need of repentance.
I think, because of my Catholic upbringing, that I need to wait to “Confess my sins” and penance is somehow the key to beginning to repent. This is altogether a LIE, and misleading by the enemy. I believe that Confession and Repentance are fully two different things. Confession is from your mouth, and Repentance is from your heart.
Confession is between you and another person. Repentance is between yourself and God, it’s a sorrow deep within your heart, a longing to strip away what ever it is that may become between you and Jesus.
My wife shared this with me, but I am sure she will give all the credit to God.
We do not need to wait for the weekend service, or the next prayer meeting. We don’t have to talk to our church friends or spiritual leaders to start this process. We have every right under the blood of Jesus to repent of our sins. You do not need to continue to live in that way until the next meeting, but can be freed through try longing and willingness to drew closer to Jesus.
Revelation 1:16
God forgive me if my words are wrong. And if they are may they only fall on deaf ears and blind eyes.
Revelation 1:16
…from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword
Reading revelations, this passage has always stood out to me. I think I have found why, at least on a surface level.
What is the reason for a two edged sword?
So that you have a cutting edge no matter which way you swing it, right?
From his mouth…
I understand this to mean he will have words that cut in both directions. Jesus on his return will not only have words that cut into the flesh of the “unsaved” but also will have words that cut to the very heart of the church. He is not shy, and he is not one for withholding the truth. We as the Church fall far short of what the bible says he is looking for as a Bride. There are a few out there who strive to become as the bride described in the word. Even within my own church, of which I am a member because of it’s passion to follow Christ, we only truly have a remnant of the entire congregation who really truly pushes in to the deeper places of Christ. Sure out chairs are pretty full on Sunday, but call a prayer meeting during the week to end abortion and watch the numbers drop.
What will it really truly take to achieve unity first within our own walls, but then with the next church down the street?
It has been a passion in my heart since becoming saved, to see the churches become the Church. A few nights ago I saw a leader call representatives from warring nations, with roots in warring faiths onto one stage and embrace one another under Christ. What will it take for them to embrace outside of that place?
But even before that, how do you think the world views us as Christians when within our own ranks we have so much bickering that it often times tears a church apart. I tell you what I have seen over the years is a Church who has castrated itself political correctness, people pleasing messages, and avoiding all issues that are presumed to be difficult.
If Jesus were to return today he would not see his Bride, he would see a impotent, infertile lost soul, as much in need of saving as the “Unsaved”
