Another Update on my Mom
My Mom had surgery on her left foot on Tuesday and was back home on Wednesday.
She broke all 5 bones across the top of her left foot. Sounds like it basically folded in half when the bail landed on her. The first 2 bones were broke but in place, the 3rd was broke and out of place and had to be screwed together, 4th was broke but in place, and the fifth was crushed and they had to do a bone graft and a plate. That will require a second operation to remove the plate.
She is not looking at 3 more months of not weight baring on her feet, after that there will be allot of muscle to rebuild so we are looking at a year before she will be back to somewhat normal.
She is getting to be more self sufficient each day, but this isn’t easy for her of the family so please pray for each of us as our time, strength and patients will be put to the test over the next few months.

Mom Update
Hey all, I just wanted to give you an update on my mom.
She is home now, with plates and screws in her right ankle. broken bones in her left foot that will require another surgery this coming Tuesday, and he proken pelvis. She is bound to bed or a wheelchair for at least the next 8 weeks.
She is the strongest woman I have ever known, but these are hard and emotional times. Please keep on praying.
Something New
I need something new…
They say it’s not what you know, but who you know.
So I am putting this out there for those of you who visit this blog. Maybe somebody will have an idea.
Does anyone know where a God Fearing Jesus freak, computer geek like me might be able to park himself for roughly 8 hours a day somewhere near the hours of 8 to 5?
Prayer Request
I have a prayer request, I am slapping it up here first just for speed reasons.
Yesterday my mother was involved in a farm accident.
She was unstrapping a load of round hay bales and when she took one of the straps loose a bale rolled off the truck and landed on her.
The bail weighed about 750 pounds and she was crumpled up underneath of the bale.
We is lucky that it things weren’t worse, but her injuries are bad enough.
Her pelvis is broken on the left side, she may have some broken bones in her left foot, and she has a severely broken left ankle. They did surgery on the right ankle last night and put a plate one bone, screwed the other together but there is a third vertical break with a loose piece of bone and the Dr. wasn’t sure what the result of that would be yet.
She is alert and well today, but in a lot of pain, so I would ask for full healing, and complete pain relief. I also ask that Gods glory be found in this situation.
Genesis Quandary
So, our fearless leader is teaching on having a Genesis Foundation. I love this teaching and it really has stirred my mind on a few things.
First off, from my school days I was taught the theory of evolution. Every time I read about, think about, learn about or hear about creation I automatically filter it through my evolution veil. It really makes me mad some times.
Anyway, the first thing that sticks in my mind from this weekend’s message has “Evolved” into a question rather then a simple statement.
“Are you worshiping the Creation or the Creator”?
What a powerful thought, I know I am worshiping the creator in my mind, but am
I worshiping the creator in my actions?
Second I started thinking about evolution itself. The thought I had was “Did this building evolve, or was there an inelegant design behind it? Really I think this can be applied to anything. Did that rock evolve, what about the water, was it something else before it was water… Do you get the picture? Now I am not scientist, but I don’t know of a single thing that we have seen evolve from one thing into another with out some sort of outside intervention.
Look at alligators, they have been around for millions of years right? You would think that over that span of time we would see some sort of evolutionary change if that were the case.
I don’t know, that just my thoughts for the day, they may be worth half a cent to someone. J
A dream
So I had a dream this morning that seems really odd, and makes not a single bit of sense in my life. But I remember it in pretty good detail, which strikes me as odd because I almost never remember my dreams. I told my wife about it and she said the same thing, but included that I should write it down. Well since I don’t have spell check in my notebook I thought this would be easer, and what the heck, why not share it with the world while I am at it.
In my dream I was going to see some animals, almost like I was involved in a research trip, but I was not the researcher. I remember I didn’t have a clue what I was supposed to do, but felt like I needed to come up with impress the people, or at least let them think I knew a little something. So I asked “What is their scat like”? For those of you that don’t know scat is poop, but I remember using the word scat.
So they took me into an indoor pen, where they were cleaning up rhinoceros scat. This was a large room with a concrete floor and cinderblock walls and there was something like a small water way down the center of the room. Maybe knee deep and a couple feet wide, like a water trough, but it rand the length of the room so water flowed in one end of the room and out the other. They were scooping the scat out of this water, and I remember thinking that stuff is huge. One piece, one dropping was enough to fill a scoop shove. It was larger then a human head.
Anyway across the water there was a large open doorway to another room or something.
They were making a pile of scat in this doorway and it was pretty large, like maybe the size of a small car. I remember becoming focused on this pile in the dream, and found that there were rats in the pile of scat, hundreds of them.
Now this is the strange part, which happed right at the end of the dream. The rats would all go into the pile so they were not visible at all, then a few seconds later they would all come out at the same time. So the pile would like surge to life, and then they would all go back in. the last thing I remember is thinking that the rats were going in and out of the pile in the rhythm of a heart beat.
This may just be a strange story for most people, but if this holds any meaning to anyone who may read it please share here.
